Northern Beaches Council needed to support their local businesses with a series of webinars to support them through COVID.
What We Did
We suggested a webinar topic entitled How to Stay Connected with your Customers during COVID-19 and created a webinar aimed at local businesses, both on and offline, to share ways to improve their communication whether they had ceased trading, reduced trading, changed the way they were trading or continued to trade throughout the pandemic. This provided a good refresher for those who had not been communicating with their clients as frequently as they could have. We shared lots of ways to help those offline business who were lacking a social media following, to communicate or start building an online following including social, phone, email, partnerships and using visual messaging outside their premises.
We had over 30 businesses join online with many more registered for the recording. The recording was then posted to Northern Beaches Council website for those to listen to afterwards. We received great feedback, including from Councilor Sue Heins. We hope to follow up with a second webinar helping businesses to share their story with the media.
